Founded by Sam, a maker with roots in the art of engraving and personalized keepsakes, Shenanigans began as a small spark in Montana. After years of honing skills at Things Remembered and Universal Awards, Sam relocated to Maine in 2019, where a simple gift from their mom – a Cricut – became the catalyst for something greater.

What started as Shenanigans by Sam quickly grew into Shenanigans LLC, opening its first storefront in Gorham in 2023 before relocating to Lewiston. There, the shop blossomed into a witchy, nerdy, cottagecore haven featuring over 50 small businesses and celebrating handmade artistry in all its forms.

Though the retail location closed in December 2024, Shenanigans continues to thrive in new and exciting ways. Today, the business focuses on:
